The Women in Games International Community Mixer series has been created as a community building and networking forum. The three-hour mixer includes icebreaker networking games and free drinks and appetizers. Displays are minimal and limited to approved mixer sponsors and partners. Attendance to the mixer is free. Average attendance for each event is 50 to 150 attendees, not including sponsors, partners, staff and volunteers. Our goal for this event is 250+. This event is entitled “Attack of the 5 Foot Women,” and is co-hosted by IGDA Women in Games and VGXPO.


The East Coast Games Summit includes speakers representing leading companies, organizations and educational institutions from within the game industry, including: Acclaim Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Bioware, Nexon, Red Storm Entertainment, Viximo, Zeitgeist Games, Obsidian Entertainment, International Game Developers Association (IGDA), Entertainment Software Association (ESA), Entertainment Consumer Association (ECA), Full Sail, ITT Tech, The Art Institutes, SMU Guild Hall, Devry University, Savannah College of Art and Design and the Vancouver Film School. The East Coast Games Summit is the game industry component of VGXPO, a game consumer show.
